Hello Weddings and Events
A WEDDING “EN TOUTE SIMPLICITÉ”
Anais & Seigfried
Once upon a time, we found our own Grease love story. The university dandy meets the “good-girl” and the bets were on: would their love last? Well, 22 years later they invited eight of their closest friends for an adventurous cosmopolite weekend ‘En toute simplicité’ meaning ‘in all simplicity’.
We entrusted the organization of our wedding in Marrakech to Hello Event our wedding planner was Héloïse and we can only recommend it very warmly. She not only understood our expectations and tastes but she sublimated them to create a magical moment for us and our guests. From then on we called her the fairy Heloise. Beyond the magic she brought with her taste for elegance, she met a rigorous schedule and showed remarkable personal involvement during the two days. For a wedding of one thousand and one nights you can contact them without hesitation. Another big thank you, Heloise.

The Wedding Preparation
Anais & Seigfried’s three day wedding weekend had the perfect combination of adventure and elegance representing them: a French couple based in Casablanca, Morocco. The venue choice was obvious, we searched and quickly found an oasis in the heart of Marrakesh’s bustling medina. The Riad’s interiors had a blend of Roman style with the vibrant mystique of Moroccan tradition reflecting the cosmopolitan journey of the couple and the traveler lifestyle they wanted to share with their best friends. The true theme of the wedding – Cosmopolite Culture.
The wedding reception was our most important mission. We were inspired by the venue with its Roman touch and the couple’s story. If ‘in all simplicity’ was a guideline, we still wanted to make it as special as possible within the budget. And, the more we exchanged dialogue with the bride, the more we were certain we needed an opulent table setting for the reception dinner at least! We agreed that the contrast between a glamourous reception at The Riad and a visit to the Agafay desert the next day would be ideal. Quad biking on the rocky dunes followed by a dinner under a Bedouain tent and a night in mud huts with no electricity was definitely going to take their friends back to the “in all simplicity” theme! Okay, we did add a little fire-show during the dinner, but that is just part of the culture, nothing too opulent…
The Reception
The details of this intimate affair were combined with authenticity and grace. The colour code we chose was gold, pale pink and ochre to create a harmonious setting with the location.
We created a link between all details on the table to make a perfect statement. We opted for an ivory linen tablecloth, a raffia table runner with a piece of linen textile to flow between the gold handmade copper vases and candle holders; an opulent floral decoration used white and pale pink roses softly romancing green olive leaves to suit the Italian inspired handmade vases as table centerpieces.
It all came together with our transparent and gold under-plates resting on handmade local leather moucharaby with taupe and ochre marble effect plates; gold cutlery finished the “star” of the table setting. Our new handmade letterpress menus wrapped in leather circled by pale pink silk ribbon with a gold Moroccan pompom in the middle all held together with a customized gold wax seal.
Gold, pale pink candles were lit, white cierge candles placed around the table in the Riad patio, candles floated gently in the pool, the Gin bar offered thirty different spices, the saxophonist was ready, and … voila! The magic was in place, ready for the couple to arrive.
The table was ready to welcome our French private chef for a four courses meal to excite your taste buds again nothing left unattended to, the menu concocted by our Chef was a fusion between French gastronomy and Moroccan flavors, a real beautiful delight.
The Reception Dinner
The couple walked through the bustling medina to the private Riad. The contrast between the guests in a Mercedes van all glammed up and the narrow busy streets of the medina with photographer and videographers’ flashes showering them like movie stars, was a total experience in itself. Timeless.
The event started with champagne and canapés on the rooftop, a jazzy music playlist whilst watching the magnificent sunset over Medina’s famous rooftops. They walked down to the patio an hour later to find the perfect set up “in all “simplicity”.
An amazed look on the guests’ faces and the little tears on our couple’s faces combined with huge smiles – they were living their own fairytale. The reception then moved seamlessly to a fabulous dinner served by our French chef in this multicultural setting, the gin bar bustled whilst the saxophonist played before a private DJ encouraged them to dance the night away creating unforgettable memories…
A funny anecdote about the venue: it was previously owed by the mother of one of the guests, the guest himself only noticed once at dinner!
Perfection to the end.
